Tena Parker's diverse talents are seen in her 30+ years experience in the film industry. Being able to design hairstyles with the creative team of Producers, writers, directors and actors is a collaborative process in which she thrives in. It is in her confident hands, that actors feel at ease. They enjoy her optimistic energy which greets them each day at work. As "time is money," Productions not only appreciate Tena's talents but also the efficiency in which she leads her teams, budgets and works within schedules. It is beyond her salon skills, that makes Tena an exceptional industry stylist. She is an expert in styling wigs and their application. She is certified in multiple extension brands and knows and respects working with multicultural textured hair. Tena's passion for hair started in her youth. She had always been involved with the performing arts and not only did her own hair for productions, but helped her fellow cast members too. Unbeknownst to Tena, it was her destiny to follow her mother, Bunny Parker's footsteps and be an industry hairstylist. At the age of 22 Tena was designing her own shows and has continued thriving in her craft to this day. Tena's first film was being an Assistant department head hairstylist for her mother Bunny Parker on the period film "A River Runs Through it." Tena also was able to be an assistant department head hairstylist on her Mother's last film before she retired, which was, "My Sister's keeper" which she helped design the wigs. Tena continues her education in this ever evolving industry and feels blessed to be part of this magical world. She also loves to mentor the upcoming stylists in the industry, and has spoken at many schools, enticing new stylist to join the same career path. It is Albert Einstein's quote "Creativity is intelligence having fun" that captures Tena's spirit. Tena’s next chapter brings her closer to her family as she continues her passion for hair helping men and women look and feel their best @refinery33slc.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments canceled in less than 24 hours and fans will be charged 50% of the price of the scheduled service. Missed appointments will be charged full price of the scheduled service.
